Mission
Statement |
The members
of Fenwick Grange are rededicating ourselves to the betterment of the areas in which we
live. We are going to do this through pertinent community service projects, inviting
non-members to attend programs on topics of interest. We are going to get the public to
think of the Grange not as the place that has good dinners, but as the
place that helps the community. |

Recycled
Greeting Cards: We are collecting greeting cards to be sent to St. Judes Ranch
for Children. They are then recycled by the ranch and used as a unique fund-raiser for
their organization. They use only the fronts of the cards, so if you have any you would
like to donate, please cut them apart. St Judes Ranch is a licensed non-profit,
non-sectarian and professionally supervised child-care facility for abused, neglected and
troubled children and teens.
Recycled Eye Glasses: We are also collecting used eye glasses, cases, safety
glasses and sunglasses for the Medical Ministry International.
Literature Recycling: We are collecting used paperback books, thrillers,
mysteries and other recreational reading materials that will be sent to our Armed Forces
overseas and to various drug/alcohol rehab centers in the area.
Members also make Caps for Kids, which are distributed to various agencies to be used for
newborn babies at hospitals. AIDS quilts are made for babies and toddlers who are the
innocent victims of this disease, with members within this state having made and donated
over 700 quilts for this project. Stuffed Toys for Loving is another project with which we
are involved. These stuffed toys are made by our members and given to various
organizations to be used when they are dealing with children in a crisis situation.
The Grange is also very involved with the hearing impaired community through the
collection of Used Hearing Aids. Donated hearing aids are sent to the Starky Hearing
Foundation where they are refurbished and distributed to those in need.
Recognizing that we all have knowledge/expertise in certain fields, we also want to
interact/network with other organizations in the area. The sharing of information and
ideas is good for all organizations.
If you have any of the items listed above that you would like to donate, please contact us
at this Web address or by calling Pete Pompper at (856) 935-0395. We can make arrangements
to pick them up. Thank you. |
